Why I chose mission

God gave me a burden for the lost from a young age. He helped me to understand that there is no hope, no peace, no life, and no salvation without knowing Jesus. This conviction drove me to consider how I might be able to serve the Lord with my life in a more intentional way, and over the years through prayer and the Lord’s guidance, God led me to serve in Córdoba, Argentina.

Equipping university students to follow and share Jesus

I serve with the Asociación Bíblica Universitaria Argentina (ABUA), which is the IFES student movement in Argentina. Every year around 40,000 students enroll to study in one of the many universities in Córdoba, which makes a current total of around 500,000 students in the province. Amongst the high number of students in Córdoba and in Argentina, most of them do not know Jesus. The mission of ABUA is to identify and connect with Christian students, to encourage them to live out their faith and to share the hope of Jesus on campus. The main way this is done is by reading the Bible in weekly faculty groups and personally in one-to-one discipleship.

I have been able to serve in Córdoba with CMS and ABUA because of the generous partnership of people who have prayed, cared and given to send me. I would love to continue serving in Argentina, especially to see more students come to know Jesus. Would you partner in the work that God is doing here for an Argentina, and a world, that knows Jesus?
