Why we chose mission

Malta is a nation in which over 96% of the population identify as Christian, yet few are able to tell the central message of the Bible – the redemptive narrative that centres on the Lord Jesus Christ. Our first term living in Malta has not only developed our ability to relate to Maltese people, but has also deepened our love for them – a love that compels us to share both our lives and the gospel’s amazing message of hope with them.

Meeting a need for discipleship in the Word

We have identified a lack in discipleship amongst many with whom we have relationship. (A lack to both handle and apply God’s Word). As CMS missionaries, we have been invited into this space to provide both resource and training. In our subsequent term, we aim to establish a Bible ministry that seeks to disciple believers and their families by helping them encounter the message of Jesus that is revealed in the Bible as a whole.

Will you partner with us?

CMS is a fellowship of people who have been brought into relationship with God and with one another to see a world that knows Jesus. This is a unique relationship which the Bible calls “partnership” (1 Corinthians 1:9). In this sense, partnership is not an optional extra but the new spiritual state of the Christian. Therefore, it’s not that we need your partnership, but that as Christians it’s simply impossible for us to serve the Lord without it. So instead of inviting you to partner with us, we are asking you to express the God-given partnership you already share with us as together we work to see a Malta that knows Jesus.
