CMS-WA Online Dinner 2024

Does it matter whether I pray for Mission? How has prayer impacted the lives and ministries of missionaries?

The 2024 CMS-WA Missions Online Dinner presents an opportunity to gather at home or church, to grow in our understanding of prayer for mission, and have our passion for it kindled. Stephen Shead, who was previously a CMS missionary and is now working as a pastor, will show us what he has learned from God’s word about this crucial subject.

Some of the CMS-WA missionaries will also share on how prayer has borne fruit in them and for them.

During the evening there will be time to reflect and discuss, as well as pray together.

Stephen Shead

Stephen is married to Rebecca, and they have four mostly-grownup children. Stephen and Rebecca served as CMS missionaries in Chile, where Stephen taught Old Testament, Biblical Theology, and just about everything else at the Anglican Church’s Centre for Pastoral Studies in Santiago. Stephen now pastors the multicultural Anglican Church of Fairfield and Bossley Park in southwest Sydney, where the nations of the world have come to us. Stephen has published a small book on prayer and a big book on biblical Hebrew linguistics, but he would only recommend you read the small one.
