Missions Conference Online Dinner 2022

CMS-WA Missions Conference is an online dinner event, for you to be encouraged in thinking through mission and “Cross Culture”: in the comfort of your home, or as you gather with friends. It is a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of God’s glorious work of making Jesus known among the nations. During the dinner you will be enriched with a talk about mission, hear about opportunities of service, and will engage the cross-cultural workers CMS-WA sends out. We hope all delegates will be challenged and equipped to become more involved in mission, both globally and locally.

Our Speaker

David Williams leads CMS-Australia’s training ministry, based at St Andrew’s Hall in Melbourne. He is married to Rachel and they have three adults sons. David and Rachel served as missionaries in Nairobi where David was Principal of Carlile College. David helped the College to establish a specialist urban mission training programme based in Kibera slum, one of the largest informal settlements in sub-Saharan Africa. David and the team at St Andrew’s Hall train all CMS’s long-term gospel workers through a 19 week residential course that focuses on missiology and practical preparation for mission service.

What is an online dinner & how does it work?

The dinner aspect of the evening will be self-catered, and you can choose whether to eat at your own home, or at a central location with others. The idea is that we will partake in a meal while we hear from David Williams and CMS-WA missionaries. Our hosts for the evening, Ruby & Lyndsay, will give thanks God for our meals at the beginning of the evening, and provide a break for us to get dessert during the evening.
