In the South Pacific, many identify as Christians, and often attend church regularly. However, opportunities for people to hear sound Bible teaching are limited, so there is a great need for people in the region to understand the gospel and live as disciples of Jesus Christ, firmly grounded in God’s word.
Our work in the Pacific
Student ministry is strategic and vital in transforming lives and communities. Today’s university students are tomorrow’s leaders of the nations.
Most young people in the South Pacific move away from home to places like Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu to attend university. CMS missionaries are serving in these locations, equipping young people to be disciple-making disciples of Christ, who can bear witness to the gospel of grace in their families, communities, churches and future workplaces.
CMS is also involved in theological education in the Solomon Islands.
We would love to place more workers in the region to be involved in student ministry and other strategic gospel work.
