Eurasia is the region where Asian cultures meet those of Europe. In some areas, Islam has become the predominant religion, though adherence may be more ‘nominal’ than in other parts of the Muslim world.
Many parts of this region have been closed to open expression of the Christian faith for some time, though in recent history increasing numbers of people have been converted, as God does a new thing. Often these new Christians are those who are prepared to stand out from their community, which brings its own challenges.
We want to support young churches and church leaders as they strive to bring the Good News to this very gospel-poor part of the world.
As they learn language and culture, CMS workers are building relationships with people in the community and seeking opportunities to encourage new believers.
