CMS SANT Summer Conference 2021 – Friday 15 OR Saturday 16 January (one-day program from 9am to 9pm), Edwardstown Baptist Church
This year, certain nations in Asia, the ‘black lives matter’ movement and the pandemic have all featured highly in our national media and consciousness. CMS Summer Conference will look beyond the very real suffering, anxieties and tensions highlighted in the headlines to be encouraged from Psalm 98 that God is indeed still at work among all peoples and cultures. We’ll hear how the gospel reaches out to Asian culture and how God is at work in the Northern Territory and around the world right now. Join us for an amazing day full of God’s word, missional insights, global perspectives, worship, prayer and song.
CMS partners with churches in seeking a world that knows Jesus. Together we equip, send and support gospel workers as they proclaim Christ across cultures. At Summer Conference 2021 you’ll hear how your partnership with CMS is helping to reach the nations with the news of Jesus.
Start your year at CMS Summer Conference and join with other believers as we explore God’s word with Luke Wisley, pray together, meet one-on-one with missionaries and are challenged to join God in His world-wide mission.
In the event that the conference is cancelled due to COVID, please be assured we will notify you of contingency plans and that full refunds will be available.
Challenging and uplifting Bible teaching, to start your year built up and rooted in God’s word.
Worship, prayer and praise, joining together with believers across South Australia and the Northern Territory, united in God’s global mission.
Unplugged stories from CMS missionaries, hearing how God has been seeking the lost around the world.
Luke Wisley is Lecturer in Old Testament Studies at the Bible College of South Australia (BCSA). He has a particular interest in the Old Testament Historical books and Wisdom Literature, as well as biblical theology. Luke is married to Aubree with two children, and he is looking forward to encouraging us to consider God’s calling to go to the nations, as he leads us through Psalm 98.
Luke says: “Psalm 98 is a gem of a Psalm, that encourages God’s people to worship him because his salvation is going forth to the nations. What better way is there to raise our affections for our God than to wonder at his mercy in this global salvation plan and to join him in his mission?”
Greg Anderson is the Anglican Bishop of the Northern Territory. Greg and his wife Annette have lived and served in the Top End for 18 years altogether, across two separate periods. As our Missional Speaker he’ll be sharing about what God is doing in the Northern Territory, bringing a personal perspective on the recent past, and sharing some encouraging developments as we look to the future.
A CMS conference favourite, we can’t wait to be challenged and inspired about God’s global work in the heart of our country.
Dave is one of our own CMS SANT missionaries who has been living and working in Asia for 9 years with his wife and three boys. He has been constantly fascinated by the interplay of culture and faith in an Asian context. How do we communicate the gospel in a hierarchical, honour & shame culture? What can we in Australia learn about the uniqueness of the gospel message through this different cultural lens?

At CMS we are passionate about helping children and youth share the news of Jesus with the world! We want every person, no matter what age, to join God in His mission, and pray, care, give and go (when the time comes!)
Registrations are now open for the Kids and Youth Conferences, which run alongside main sessions. With a crèche and tailored children’s programs for ages 3-4, 5-8 and 9-11 and a youth program for kids aged 12-16, we have something for everyone. Year 11 and 12 students are invited to attend main sessions, and seating in the main auditorium will be clearly marked to enable them to connect easily.
Check in from 8:50, pick up at 5:30. Parents are welcome to register kids and youth for dinner and the evening session at no additional cost.
