CMS Camp MMM is a great opportunity for students in years 7 to 12 to spend a week exploring God’s word, spending time with Christians, and growing their heart for God’s mission.
Each day campers will take part in a Bible talk and study, along with a range of great activities and chances to engage with CMS missionaries. Students will spend time with new and old friends, pray for world mission, and have heaps of fun in the beautiful Blue Mountains.
CMS Camp MMM runs over two weeks in the June/July school holidays, with a study camp for Year 12.
Our key speaker for Camp MMM Senior High is Phillip Jensen.
Phillip has been active in ministry since conversion in 1959. From 1970, after education at Moore Theological College, he has been employed in various ministries including working with John Chapman in the Dept. of Evangelism, Chaplain at University of New South Wales for 30 years, Rector of St Matthias Centennial Park and Dean of Sydney at St Andrew’s Cathedral. During this time he was chairman of Katoomba Christian Convention, founded Matthias Media, Ministry Training Strategy, and numerous evangelistic ministries as well as writing several books and undertaking University missions in Australia and overseas. Phillip is the driving force behind the establishment of a new company, Two Ways Ministries, with the aim of raising up a new generation of gospel-centred preachers through training ministry workers, and modelling preaching in churches and conferences, both local and international.
Some of his works include Two Ways to Live, Guidance and the Voice of God, Prayer and the Voice of God, By God’s Word and The Archer and the Arrow. You can find sermons and essays by Phillip at phillipjensen.com
Phillip is married to Helen, has three adult children and 13 grandchildren.
We will be joined by CMS missionaries Gary & Julie Haddon*, who have been serving the Lord in Chile.
*Please pray that Gary and Julie’s flight to Australia would proceed as planned so they can join us at Camp MMM!
Our key speaker for Camp MMM Junior High is Dave Jensen.
Dave works as a pastor at EV Church on the Central Coast of NSW. Before he was in ministry he served as an Infantry Officer in the Australian Army for 10 years – which is where someone told him the great news of Jesus: and he became a Christian. He is married to Sammy and they have 6 kids. He loves supporting the Sydney Roosters and eating Lebanese chicken.
We will be joined by CMS missionaries Kevin & Karen Flanagan, who have been serving the Lord in Tanzania, and secure worker S, who has been serving in South Asia.
