CMS Canberra Mission Focus is back in person and we’d love to see you there!
CMS Canberra Mission Focus is an annual event organised by CMS to encourage local supporters to engage wholeheartedly in God’s mission. It is a unique opportunity to be encouraged from God’s word, hear from missionaries and praise God together as his people. Come and be challenged and refreshed as we focus on the Lord who saves, and consider how you can play a part in working together to see a world that knows Jesus.

We will have the privilege of hearing from Kanishka Raffel, who is the current President of CMS Australia and CMS NSW & ACT. Kanishka will share insights from Isaiah 45-55 and Acts 14-16 as together we explore the theme “To preach the gospel: opening doors and hearts”. |
Prior to being elected Archbishop of the Sydney Anglican Diocese, Kanishka served as the Dean of Sydney, ministering to the regular congregations at St Andrew’s Cathedral. He studied law at the University of Sydney and following his conversion, went on to complete a Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Arts at Moore Theological College. In 1996, Kanishka was ordained as a Deacon in the Sydney Diocese and Priest in the Canberra-Goulburn region. He served at St Matthew’s Wanniassa between 1996-1999 before going to Perth where he served as Rector of St Matthew’s in Shenton Park between 1999-2015. Kanishka is married to Cailey and together they have two daughters.

CMS Canberra Mission Focus is a family friendly event!
On Saturday 11 February, there will be programs for Children (Kindergarten–Year 5) and Youth (Years 6–9) led by a team of local leaders. This will be a day filled with fun activities, meeting missionaries and learning about how youth and children can play an important part in God’s global mission.
Please note, all children must be registered online prior to the event to attend.
There will also be a parents’ room available for parents to supervise infants.

Registration costs (per adult):
Friday only: $15
Friday only (full-time student or concession): $5
Saturday only: $65
Saturday only (full-time student or concession): $55
Friday and Saturday: $80
Friday and Saturday (full-time student or concession): $60
Youth and children may attend for free but must be registered online beforehand.
Online registration for CMS Canberra Mission Focus 2023 is now closed.
For adults, online registration is preferred (closes Monday 6 February), however on-site registration will be available on both Friday and Saturday.
Concession discount (available for single days as well as ‘Friday and Saturday’ registrations): Pensioners and full-time students are able to receive $10 off.
