A teaching hospital and university in eastern Nepal has opportunities for Post-grad-qualified, experienced general/family practitioners and emergency physicians in their Family Medicine and Emergency departments.
You would become involved in teaching and being alongside Nepali doctors and medical students. You may give lectures, attend ward rounds, or be with students in their clinical or tutorial times. You would participate in teaching sessions for first year doctors, and in the Family Medicine residency program. You may be able to spend some time in a another nearby hospital to encourage one of our residents. Residents often need another perspective alongside local role models. As the numbers grow in our department, the emphasis will move more and more to the serving in nearby hospitals. Your skills and experience would benefit staff, students and patients.
These opportunities are both short-term and long-term.

Requirements
- post-graduate qualified, experienced general/family practitioners and emergency physicians.
- foreign doctors have to be registered with Nepal Medical Council before taking any clinical responsibility -
- short-termers should expect to cover own costs including airfare.
