Bruce and Libby Hayes
Kathmandu
It is a challenging time in the history of Nepal and God’s Church there as the country works to establish a democracy. The Church seeks to be salt and light in a changing community. God continues his work of growing and maturing his Church.
Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital, suffers from pollution, water shortages and lack of electricity, gas and petrol. The traffic keeps getting worse. Occasionally, the snow-capped Himalayas come into view!
Libby is the Secondary School Principal at Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC). Her desire is to see staff and students growing in Christ’s love in an environment of excellence and nurture. Bruce continues to coordinate GP training at Patan Hospital, combined with his consultancy role at the Nick Simons Institute. He also has opportunities to teach Ethics and to help Christian leaders in their development.
