Numbulwar

Numbulwar overlooks the Gulf of Carpentaria and Groote Eylandt. The population of Numbulwar is around 800, and is comprised of 12 Indigenous ‘tribes’ or family groupings. The older generation speak the traditional language, Wubuy, whilst the younger generation speak Kriol.

Ruth assists local Christian leaders in their ministry, and supports Indigenous initiatives to develop youth and children’s ministry.
