Kandern is a town of about 4000 people in the south west corner of Germany.

Black Forest Academy (BFA)

BFA is an international Christian school with over 300 students. The parents of most of them are working in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Eurasia and elsewhere, often in difficult and insecure circumstances. The school provides these students with a safe, nurturing environment and a high standard of education.

Andrea teaches German to Grade 6, 7 and 8 classes in BFA’s Middle School, as well as piano to all ages. Tim is manager of the Front Office and Reception. Together they conduct introductory German classes for the new staff each year. Tim and Andrea also take opportunities to connect positively with the local German population, organising annual community events that promote the gospel.
