Area of Ministry
Rwanda has undergone major transformation since the genocide of 1994 – in reconciliation, urban development, political stability and reduced corruption. However, the scars of genocide do not disappear in a generation and there is still widespread poverty. Butare has a population of 90,000 and is the site of the National University.
Tim works as a gastroenterologist in the University of Rwanda’s teaching hospitals, training doctors and medical students. Catherine consults on Primary teaching methodology, and homeschools their children. The family attends the Anglican Cathedral.
