David and Alisan Greeff in Namibia

Missionary From Queensland with Northern NSW
Location: Namibia

Walvis Bay

Walvis Bay and nearby Swakopmund are towns on the central coast of Namibia. Recent discoveries of substantial uranium deposits inland, and petroleum offshore, mean than growth in the area is booming. Providing local access to sound gospel teaching through NETS external courses is of strategic importance.

Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary (NETS)

NETS trains Christians from Namibia and surrounding countries, equipping them to live godly lives and serve local churches and communities. Distance, part-time and fulltime theological courses are offered, from basic up to bachelor’s degree level.

David works in the NETS Department of Distance Education (DDE) as a coordinator for the Erongo region. He facilitates theological study groups in the two closest towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, as well as assisting students in local prisons. Alisan leads the study group in the female section of the prison, designs numerous NETS publications and brochures, and is involved in community activities.
