A fantastic resource for young families and children’s ministries in churches Pray Around the World is a prayer diary designed for primary school aged kids, focusing each year on eight or nine different countries. Through puzzles, recipes, prayer points and short notes about CMS missionaries and the countries where they are working, Pray Around the World helps kids to have a heart for global mission. It?s a great way for kids to get to know missionaries and to learn about the joys and challenges of cross-cultural ministry around the world.

Families can use the diary at home during family devotions or prayer times. Why not make the recipes and play the games together, praying for God's work through missionaries in the different countries?

Pray Around the World with your church

The prayer diary can also be an invaluable resource for kids' ministries, helping ministry teams to incorporate world mission into their lessons. You could:

• Offer a Pray Around the World to each family so they can use it at home.

• Pray for one or two countries each term, using the activities to help the kids learn more about mission in those countries.

• Have an ‘International Day’ where each group chooses a different country from Pray Around the World. Do the activities, find out more about the countries and the missionaries, and finish with an ‘International’ morning or afternoon tea with food from each of the countries. The kids could even dress up according to the different national customs.

Camp MMM (years 7-12)

Camp MMM offers great talks from the Bible, news from the mission field in all the world, and friends ‘new and old’ from all over NSW and the ACT. It’s a fantastic opportunity for high schoolers to go away together and to learn about God and his mission.
