CMS lessons

We have supplementary lessons that will add a global edge to your curriculum. They are based on God's global mission, Old Testament and New Testament encouragements and Jesus' own words. These lessons are age specific and all packaged with easy to use instructions and re-printable resources.

Concrete examples and engaging stories are a key part of helping the Word of God hit home in young hearts. CMS has a few suggestions how your missionary(ies) could help with all this in creating a global awareness, a Godward focus and a personal connection.

Creating a Global Awareness
Your missionary can provide a window into this, and as kids get older they can learn more and more about just how different, and how similar other parts of the world are.

Creating a Godward Focus
Prayer is an essential part of all we do as Christians and modelling this to children is essential. Sharing current news from your misso(s) and responding in prayer shows that we trust in God's power and willingness to help in our lives, and in the lives of those we can't physically respond to ourselves.

Creating a Personal Connection
Helping your kids to get to know their missionary(ies) can be a natural part of your weekly programme.

Summer Encounter

Each year in January we run a family camp in Victor Harbour. With tailored children's programme. What a great way to kick off your children's ministry (without any effort!) while also getting to meet parents and for them to meet each other. Summer Encounter can start your year off on the right foot- with a focus on God, what He's doing in the world how we can be involved.

Up Close and Personal

Of course, a highlight of the children in you ministry's lives will be the real life visits from your missionary(ies). CMS values kids and your missionary(ies) will make every effort to visit and talk with those at your church in an engaging and relevant way.
