CMS Driving Principles
Principles
Since its beginning, over 200 years ago, CMS has followed five principles. They are:
- Follow God's leading.
- Put money in second place, not first.
- Begin in a small way.
- Under God, all will depend on the type of people sent out.
- Look for success only from the Spirit of God.
Object
The object of CMS is:
- To work for the coming of God's Kingdom through the proclamation of the gospel of Christ throughout the world in fellowship with local churches.
One way that you can join in the task of world mission is by becoming a member of CMS. CMS members are committed to seeing lives transformed by Christ around the world. They are CMS; sending missionaries with their prayers, pastoral care and financial support.
